Had a Butler...very early 80s after Butler bought out the Arntz product...BRI No. 5. Love the way the body's cut out for access to the distributor for the Chevy motor because of the big engine setback these cars are known for (I had a Ford motor...so the distributor was up front).
What is the chassis number? Check out the frame near the front on the driver's side. That will help folks trace it. These are extremely strong Cobras, and they tend to get bought/sold and rebuilt more than others despite the limited run. I believe Butler still lives in the Ventura, CA area.

That looks like a VIN assigned by a department of motor vehicles from a state. I'm talking about a stamped (into the steel) number on the frame...should have "BR" in the sequence.

Might want to check the permissions on the original post, as yours shows up as #2 and #4, his shows up as #3 only. No #1 post shows for the rest of us.
Might have to approve his attachment to get his original post to show for the rest of us
