Default Aluminum panels for Cobras build class

I have talked with Wray Schelin https://www.facebook.com/profile.php...607997&fref=ts our local metal shaping guru. We would like to team up and offer a class to people interested in metal shaping specific to Cobras. If you have a car you're building, or is already built, we can look at anything bodywork related. Some suggestions include retro fitting doors, hood or trunk in aluminum, he has a Daytona Coupe coming in for a full nose, he has an accurate 427 car there to replicate, we have also had inquiries on Le Mans style tops. There really are no limits, if you want to learn the skills to shape a complete body you should attend something like this. We are looking at the first weekend in December. Mongoose and I are planning on having our cars there to do some skinning on our aluminum doors, and finish details on our ally hoods. It really is worth the trip from anywhere in the world if you want to get a hands on metal shaping course. Any one interested let us know here or on FB.

I wish it was this side of the pond.
A great idea, good luck with it.

Sounds like a lot of fun, mickmake.
I hope it's a success.

I may have been the Le Mans top inquiry. I've been talking with Wray about the class. If we could come up with a buck or one to copy, that would be awesome. I'd also love to bring the car down & do something like a hood or doors, etc. HE'S talking December, though. If I were Partake in the Class of Cobra Dudes, it would most certainly be without the car. It's snowed in by that time.

Kevin it's worth the trip from anywhere. Check out the pics of his new shop and some of his videos. Rodney check the deals with Southwest and suggest it to the missus for a Christmas present ;-)
Hyde do you think you'll be buried by then? We're usually wondering if it's going to be a white Christmas. You could pull a panel or two off and bring them with you. Have you talked to Mr Bruce about a top? He would be worth hitting up especially if he has a reject, blem or something we could do a deal on. There is another one of my Cobra pals that also wants one so we might be able to split costs on something like that.

We're up on the mountain. It'd be a miracle if I could find a way to get the car down at that point. I mentioned the Top to Wray as something I'd eventually like to build for myself. The class is more of a learning tool for me. If I could build something for my car during class, that would be an extra added bonus. When he mentioned the Cobra guys possibly doing a class, it just made sense.

Details should all be here. Maybe we'll try for a spring class.

Well, looks like I'm out. Scheduling conflict. I'll be taking the course somewhere between January/March.
