Default Which 427 Cobra is the real one?

I ran across this old story on the net

Manila Sports Car Club

about a real and a replica 427 appearing at a gathering of the Manila Sports car Club. But they don't identify the owner of the real one or say if it's the black one or the blue one? I don't own the Register so don't hit me on the fingers with steel-edged ruler again...anybody know if the real one was once a race car? Is it an S/C?

The article clearly states the black one is original and the blue one is a replica. The wheels and pipes on the blue one would have lead me to guess it was the replica anyway.

The "real" one has the wrong taillights for an SC/race car.

Wheels and door angle give it away

Those look like front wheels on the rear of the blue one.

Yup. Wheels, tyres and the "sissy shields" are all indications along with the fact that the article states that it's the replica.

... and wheels are wrong as well. The factory 427 S/C came with front 185x15's and rear 195x15's. Interesting how the replica was called on the wheels which in fact are closer to original than the "real one". Just goes to show, if enough people do it they start to believe that's how it always was
