Why advertise parts in the car section?

Maybe it is just me, but this kind of annoys me, a little.

Over the years people feel free to advertise parts in the section designed to advertise cars. I have seen them put the same add in both places. But I have never seen anyone mistakenly put a car in the parts section, maybe I missed one. So, I do not think it is a lack of IQ. For the most part, I suspect it is done on purpose, with a flagrant disregard for following rules.

Well, I don't loose sleep over it. I don't get mad and break things. But slowly over the years this minor annoyance has reached a totality of enough to start a thread questioning it.

So, am I just getting old and senile, or does this disrespectful behavior bother anyone else? What say you?

It's not you. I think they should put the parts in that section as that is where I would go if I were looking for a part.

Why does it happen? Most likely someone made an honest mistake. Then someone noticed parts in the car section and posted there (probably double posting). And since noone has made any effort to move or delete the posts, everyone just keeps doing it.

Unfortunately I need to sell my cobra on the site.
I’ve been trying to figure it out but not able to understand how to do it.
Thank You for all you help not just this time but all the other times as well.
I plan to get another one as soon as I can but I need money for the house.

Leon,

Sorry to hear that you have to sell your Cobra but if you are asking how to list it here, click on the For Sale link at the top of the page. That will drop down some options and the first one is Cobras, Gt-40s Private Party and there is one for dealers. Click that and you can then list your Cobra and put a picture of it in the section.

It's not as bad as when people hijack threads and post links to their website and products they have for sale... that is shameless promotion without supporting the forum via banner ad! I have written to moderators in the past about such a thing, but no response. I am with you in effort to better the common good.
