Moving to North Carolina
Well after living my entire life (76yrs) in New Jersey, I'll be moving to North Carolina. My son, daughter-in-law, and grandson moved to Mooresville back in May. I've visited twice and love it there. They all want the old man to move down there, so Mooresville here I come. I'll be moving about the middle of January. It's a really daunting experience but I'm up to the task. I've got two wonderful sons and daughter-in-law that are making this happen! I shipped out my third child today (they know which one I like the best. ) Just kidding. Anyway here are a couple of pics of her being picked up today. There was a little drizzle, but it was OK.

This is the driver.

Congrats, John. I'm just across the mountains from your new home. Got word from our friend Bruce C that he has my package ready for pick up, so hopefully we can get together sometime soon and talk shop.

Yeah, an Aston Martin, he sure hauls some high end cars, This is a double trailer set up and in the front trailer was a McLaren and a 2017 Ford GT. I sure had good company but somehow felt out of place. The driver wanted to know if his boss had my permission to use a photo of my car in his advertising. I told him it's not an original but sure.

Congratulations on your move and I am sure that once you are settled in you will love it there. And being closer to family will also be nice. That is a very nice Cobra that you have there and they have some great roads to drive it on.

John,
Welcome to North Carolina. There is a local Cobra club that meets for Breakfast one Saturday per month at the Cracker Barrel in Mooresville.
I love your car. I have always liked slab-sides. My cobra looks very similar.

Welcome to Mooreville
Welcome. I'm in Mooresville. We have a good group that meets the second Sat. Send your email info to Larry Smith <nc.coyote@yahoo.com> and he will put you on the group email. Remember to leave all that cold weather in NJ. We only like a little bit of cold here and start drinking some sweet tea.

That's cool, John. One of my brothers lives in Mooresville. I'm glad you finally came to your senses.

Yeah, but it took me 76 yrs. It's quite the culture shock. People are genuinely nice and friendly. It's like I died and went to Heaven. By the way, I'm afraid to ask. Did you ever get your car from Mr. Bruce and if you did are you pleased and have you started working on it?

There used to be a good group of guys over in the Raleigh side of NC.
Best to you, you now have a longer season.

When you examine tax rates in NC versus other "Southern" states you realize that NC is sort of a halfway house for New England refugees. I'm a Greenville, SC fan, myself. Still, welcome to the family!
I've come to realize and fully admit that I have a serious mental condition about going to racetracks on a monthly basis. Bruce has been able to set it aside while he helps others pursue their dream, and I my passion; however, the time is coming to drag some stuff south, once things thaw. So I guess that's what... May?
And then my idiot buddies will eat their words... "No, the car is not in Nigeria... it's in Pittsburgh."
