Default New Owner of 65 Backdraft Coyote 5.0

Good morning to all,
I have just bought myself a Cobra to celebrate my official Midlife needs. I live in CA and decided to go through the proper channels to register my out of state car!!! It has been a nightmarish part-time job. I now need to make a modification to satisfy BAR referee. He wants me to attach the breather from valve cover to the intake filter somehow... Bla Bla Bla. I kinds wish I had gone the shady way by now!!!

Anyways, I have many questions on the car but the first being where can I find a good high cranking battery that is small enough in dimention to fit in the small space in the left rear trunk?

Sounds like your motor is failing the visual inspection.
I think they're probably looking for the PCV and line that picks off the right /left front valve cover.
Lots of folks install breathers instead.

On the battery. Any of the AGM (absorbent glass mat) should do you fine. I like them as they're spill proof. I'm partial to Odessey (not Optima) and Exide batteries. To be honest you may get a lot of input as its close to asking what oil you run?

This chart will help you find a good fit.

I am not sure what engine yo have but if it is a normally aspirated one then the PCV setup is simple. From the left front valve cover all you need is a hose from the breather cap to the air cleaner housing and on the right valve cover from the rear breather to either an inlet on the carb spacer or an inlet in the intake manifold. This picture shows mine from the left valve cover tom the air cleaner and my left cover has the same hose through a PCV valve that plugs into the valve cover and then goes to the spacer under the carb.

Thanks Ron. Mine is a bit more challenging as I have the newer Coyote engine and the air filter housing is all made of CF.

No, breathers are not what he wants. He wants a PCV connection from the valve cover to the air intake (a tube).

You are Spot on Tony. I went to Cooltech and had him do it up. Thank you all. Now I just wish I could find a nice mesh grill for the front to keep all the leaves out and also look nicer than just the radiator.
