Default Silly Cobra Cover Question

I want to purchase a light duty cover to put over my A&C Cobra while it’s in the garage to keep dust off of it. Does someone make one specifically to fit the Cobras or should I look for one for say something like a Miata or similar size vehicle?

I recently purchased a car cover for my Superformance Cobra from Car Cover Planet that fits perfectly. The one tha I purchased has a soft fleece type on the inside and a Lycra exterior material on the outside. It also has the the pocket for the roll bar. Take a look at their web site since there are many options. The cover is made by Cover King but if you go to the Cover King site it states that there is no cover available.

I have have the Superformance cover I use in the garage, but it's not weather proof and a bit heavy if we travel. California Car covers make a good fitting light weight cover.

Not a silly question at all. I use Flannel / Cotton only, also, I buy mine one size bigger then it say's. Better fit over the car. Since you don't have to worry about rain or wind in the garage, one size larger fit's over the car down to the floor, without touching the floor. I found a 61 Vette is the correct size for the Cobra, for my Mazda Rx-7 I use a 2004-5 Ford GT cover. I use this company, very easy to deal with, and knows their product's. https://www.carcoversdirect.com/

I purchased the cover to replace the original Superformance cover. The original cover would leave "fuzz" all over the car and that drove me crazy.

I have a shop full of covers I have tried over the years, but this one is by far the best I have ever seen for indoors. Incredible super stretch, very thick and like fleece on the inside. Super easy to put on by yourself and contracts back to a really small size. If you go if it, get the small size, perfect for our body size. It's from Eastwood and was about $60 bucks as I recall.

Got the "Plushweave" from California Car Cover.
Indoor use soft cotton flannel.
Heavy enough to protect from bumps.
Super soft inside avoiding paint scratching.
The roll bar hoop is sewn in for nice fit.
Slightly oversized so easy on and off.

I have a flannel cover from Tony Branda that fits nicely on my ERA 427 Street version. You could also try Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories. I had a flannel cover on my '69 Shelby for 22 years purchased from BHMA...sold the car 5 years ago with that cover.

I have a cover which came with my West Coast Cobra when I purchased it. It's an indoor cover, breathable with a cotton outer with a soft flannel lining and has reinforced grommet holes for securing it. I've put it on and removed it more than once by myself, and it was pretty easy to do.

I contacted Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories, who made the cover. They tell me the pattern still exists and it is the proper cover for WC Cobras. They've also indicated the fabrics have improved since mine was made, now coming in a variety of colors.

It's probably reasonable that, if they make covers for the longer and wider WCCs, they also make covers for the more popular makes / models / sizes.

Good luck with your purchase.

Default Cover King

Have had several covers over the years for various hot rods and bikes,,, the last one I purchased was a COVER KING. Excellent satin-like fabric that was custom fit for my Backdraft. You get what you pay for.

I went with the California Car Cover "Plushweave" cotton flannel per their
recommendation. Mind you it is indoor only but has a super soft flannel
inside layer. When ordering, a series of questions will be asked about
your Cobra. Left roll hoop or right or both, blah blah blah. The result
is a car cover sewn to your specification.

I found the Plushweave to be gracious in size so if you have windshield tinted visors,
or side wings or side mirrors or all of those, it will not be overstretched or hung up.
The elastic bottom is strong so once on, it will stays on. Good protection
against door dings as well but as I said, INDOOR ONLY.

The trick with car covers is not to buy somethings that over time ends
up causing more paint damage then nothing at all. I have black paint
and found this cover to be extremely gentle on the finish coat.

I ordered over the phone. They had my exact spec in stock and it shipped next day.

Good luck in you search.
