Default What to sign a dash with?

I am hoping to get Herb Adams to sign the dash of my Cobra. It is a carbon fiber dash with color about like charcoal. I am thinking to sign in white. What have people used to do such an autograph and look right?

Carroll Shelby used some kind of paint pen but right now I can't find it. I sent one when I had my Mustang dash panel signed by others besides CS so all of them would look the same.

Thanks Tony! I bought a white marker which worked pretty well on tires.

Maybe just plain black marker?

I think this is the one.

Gold & Silver Metallic Marker: Pilot Pen

Plain markers like magic markers and sharpies fade. The signatures I got from Bondurant and Cleo on my GT are almost gone.

Here's a suggestion: Have the signature on the inside of your glove box, and have the person signing customize it to your car. That way it's not in your face all the time and it doesn't look like you bought it off ebay from someone else's car. A lot of people don't even like signatures, you know.

To each his own on the signature. I don't have any but there are people at shows who think if it is signed it must be a real Shelby. I know that's another subject but signatures do add some authenticity and interest.

Just want to know how much did you pay for that autograph

Yes, I did have to pay but, if I recall correctly, it was tax deducible because it was a donation to his children's heart fund, or something like that. So, it was for a good cause.

This is a great idea but I don't have a glove box. The dash is just blank there.

Well, just put in a glove box -- piece of cake. And, even though ol' Shelby passed away in 2012, I think he's still signing these things.
