Default Gluing rear view mirror puck. Windshield is curved

My car is not trying to be accurate. Its more of a resto-mod. Just getting that out of the way

I am 6'4" 250lbs and pretty lean. Shoulders block any mirror except a windshield mount. I just tried to glue my puck on unsuccessfully and realized the windshield is slightly curved. Is that a problem or did I just not get good adhesion? Used Permatex rear view mirror adhesive followed directions to the letter.

Mr. D, I think this may be what you need to elevate your mirror instead of the glued puck method.

My Hi-Tech has a rearview mirror with a bracket that's screwed into the top of the windshield frame. It also has a convex mirror attached to the top driver's side corner of the windshield in the same manner (which I was going to remove until I saw what a great job it did of covering the blind spot). They were on the car when I got it so I have no idea where they came from, but maybe you can make something like that work.

I've never seen a Cobra mirror on the glass.

Just pointing out that there could be a reason why that is the case.

Second attempt with a different puck worked perfect. The puck that came with the mirror had a dimpled surface like I have never seen. Git a standard flat one.
