Default Just looking at her...

I very often find myself spending a lot of time in the garage on my rolling seat just sitting and looking/staring at my Cobra (Backdraft). Even though I enjoy the driving part, the looking part gives me a sense of peace, calm and amazement. The lines, the wheels, the brightwork, the stance, the presence all work together to create one awesome and timeless machine.

Am I weird or do you just stare at yours too?

Very true. Many folks use the term does your car have GOTS? (Glance over the shoulder) as you walk away. I find myself doing it throughout the day the when the garage door is open and I'm looking out the dining room window, etc...

You're not weird. You're just infected with the same bug that the rest of us have. It's like a fever or indigestion depends on how well the car is running.

It's ok if you find yourself fantasizing about car gals who are ogling your Cobra, but if you find yourself fantasizing about your Cobra while in congress with a lady, you have crossed over the line of sanity.

As spdbrake said. G.O.T.S. (First heard that from a 64 GTO owner) if your car doesn't have it, you have the wrong car I've owned 4-cars that had that. My first 240Z, 66 Alfa GTV (Race car) and the 2-Cobras. I sometime wax them, just to feel the lines of them, if that's weird, then I'm Weird Cheers TommyRot.

You are not weird. People who don't do this are and should trade their Cobra for a Yugo 🤡😧

Agree with all of the above! Simply art on four wheels which I enjoy all the time especially during our very long Vermont winters while parked in my garage.

Default Hi Glen

Good to hear from you My Friend . Everything good with you 'Down Under' ? Here's the newest 'Little Snake' Our Pik-Nik car. No worries about "Snake Bites" but just enough HP to scare the local's Never thought I would ever (in a million years) own two Cobras, but this one followed me home, and I promised to take care of it, so here we are Hope the picture is right side up, for both of us Cheers Tom. I still can't down load pictures ????

Hi Tom,

Let's see if we can get those photos posted below here for Glen's viewing! This is your red car from our group peninsula tour last year, during the lunch stop. I enjoyed riding along with you that day, a wonderful car with a very healthy sound! Take care...Brent

This sums it up well.

Just one of those 100+ mile trips with the group for breakfast.

Thanks Brent and Tom.

Tom - I think I've said this before - you're a lucky, lucky boy! I don't know anybody else here (Aus) who has two Cobras. What's more, your 427 is green (perfect period correct colour for a 427) and the "little" 289 roadster is red. There are no better combinations!

So where do you go from here? I know! You need to be on the lookout for an FIA! Viking blue of course. What better trifecta?

Cheers!
Glen

Thank you Brent, for posting !! Well Glen, now you have something to drive when you visit but here's where the problem lie's Too many car's & No money left The RX-7/V-8 may have to find a new home, I'm thinking early April on BaT. Now I guess I started something, Brent wants a Slabside (After his Big Block is done, which will be soon), Terry (Daytona owner) will be selling his black 65 Fastback Mustang (347 supercharged 5-speed called the "Beast") to buy a Big Block Roadster. We found a NAF roadster with 427s/o, for the "Snake Charmer" and Maybe, just maybe a ERA GT-40 Mk.2b if we get the trade we want So YES Glen, if I ever get the chance for 'just' one more it would be a ERA 289FIA in Viking blue of course Cheers my friend, TommyRot.
