Default Looking for an ERA 289 FIA

Hello All,

I am looking for an ERA 289 FIA Cobra to purchase. 289/302 engine, with a 5-speed, preferably blue in color (Guardsman would be a big plus). I'm located on the west coast and ok with cross-country shipping.

Cheers

This one sold. To the OP, you may also want to connect with the ERA Appreciation group on facebook and make your search known there too.

Yes, I saw that one on Hemmings as well. Looked really good.

Thanks for the ERA Facebook page suggestion, I'll head over.

Cheers

Thanks ALF,

Yes, 2100 looks like a great build with Webers and the ERA racing rear suspension set-up. May have to rethink my color preferences.

Cheers

The Hemmings car has been sold months ago, the FIA at Legendary I believe is still available .

Thanks for the leads everyone.

Looks like the black ERA at Legendary has sold.

I'll also consider an early fiberglass CSX7000 FIA.

Thanks again

why are you looking for an early fiberglass CSX7000 FIA?

the shape of the early cars is far from being correct due to the far too wide rear fenders,
personally I don't appreciate that the Continuation Cobras were build in fiberglass at all.

collect your money and go for an early aluminium CSX 7000 FIA

Cobra Make, Engine: Don't think I'll be getting a Cobra for a long time... Do have '94 RX-7 R2.

That car has some nice details, but for the price I would expect webers and a more correct looking oil cooler scoop.

True, the early 7000 cars had 427SC rear fenders, but after spending time around Bob Stockwell's FIA I started admiring the shape.

Would love to acquire an aluminum FIA and wish I jumped on a Kirkham back when rollers were 50K, but now they're outside my budget unfortunately.

2345: keep looking. I've had my ERA#2119 for over 6 years and close to 70,000 miles. Needless to say, I LIKE IT!. I do miss the "world's coming to an end" power that my NAF w/496 Chevy had but this car handles, rides, and stops so much better. It's miniscule 289 w/Webers, is still brisk, gets lots of gawks, and is a hoot to drive. My 2¢ worth.
