Daytona Coupe track day w her Shelby sisters
At Homestead Speedway @ FL today. There was a track day so I brought Viper ACR E to play & brought all my Shelby sisters for a photo shoot. I just received a FACTORY FIVE Replica 64 Daytona Coupe that I gave a low speed shake down in the novice group while I strafed the high speed group w the Viper.
The FF DC is gorgeous, sounds great, & has good power. Now I have a list of details to fix. Nothing serious just a few details.
I didn’t put GT350 on track but I think she liked being w her sisters. Shelby worked on the GT40, Ford GT & Viper as well as Cobras of course.

Wow - nice collection - thanks for posting.
It's interesting to see how much smaller the Daytona is compared to the Viper. Whats the difference in weight?

Thanks, I’m sure Viper heavier w modern safety stuff but it has lots of aluminum & carbon fiber. The Daytona is very intense like a proper race car. The Viper is also intense but not as loud & the limits on the Viper w 1300# downforce are insane fir a road car

What a beautiful and desirable group of cars. I'll bet that Viper is incredible on the track.
I'm not normally a huge fan of the FFR Daytonas but someone clearly took the time to get the right "look" to yours. IMHO it's crying out for a set of white sidepipes and white-centered FIA wheels, though.

Def, on list already. White halibrands and white pipes like my GT350 and thicker white stripes all coming ASAP. IDK why seller went w modern wheels.
I gave the GT350 Halibrands and a beautiful leather wrapped NARDI steering wheel to give her a little more Cobra DNA

The Viper is insane for a road car. The limits are deep into pure race car, def not for beginners.

Those stripes (and the race number, and the Viking Blue) are all correct for the Daytona that Gurney and Bondurant took to 4th OA at Le Mans 1964, just FYI...personally I love them because it seems to me that most Daytona replicas either go with a "non factory" paint scheme or do some version of the 1965 Guardsman Blue/wide white stripe livery. Cars replicating the 1964 livery don't seem as common. If you look at pics of the '64 Gurney car, it appears that whoever painted your car even went to some pains to duplicate the font of the race number, which is a detail a lot of replicas skip.

Bill,
You'll find us open to other vehicles, but we prefer the Ford's on a site like Club Cobra, just saying
Bill S.
PS: Perhaps we will see each other in WPB at the Barrett auction, if they actually have it live

I thought that was like a Ginetta. That’s a wild Daytona Coupe. What are the specs ?
