Default Cell phone holder?

At the risk of being humiliated, do any of you have a cell phone mount in your Cobra? If so where do you mount it, what one/type are you using, and are you happy with it?

I keep mine in a organizer on the trans hump. Frankly, I don’t have time to get distracted by a gizmo when driving. If I need to get directions, I stop, put into maps with voice instructions, put my ear buds on under muffs, and listen. This is a car that has to be driven attentively IMO for safety reasons if nothing else.

I've found the Weather Tech Cup Phone works great in one of the cup holders I installed. Only use it to get the phone out of my pocket. If someone calls me they better leave a message, cause I'm not answering!
I will say that I've been having issues getting my speedometer calibrated, and I'm going to have to send it back to SpeedHut, so in the interim I'm using a GPS speedometer app on my phone for a speedometer.

I have an ERA and it has the two posts that go from the dash to the trans tunnel. I used this and it works awesome. No modifications to the car are necessary and I can remove it in two seconds.

Puts the phone where it needs to be to use the map.

Mounts to the dash, suction cup down. I used it to hold my phone for track day video too

No cup holders, no stereo, no power steering or brakes and no airconditioning
BUT, I do use a GPS for it's speedometer. I can see it much easier than looking down through my steering wheel. I also do like to use my WAZE app on my phone while it's sending my RR tunes to my bluetooth headphones. I still hear plenty of engine music while booking with my roc n Roll!
BTW, I have a clamp on phone mount that clips to the dash board overhang. Bing anda bang

I use this, sticks to carpet, no residue when removed and holds well.

LOL - Here in South Africa, in an open car, you are likely to have your cell phone snatched within approximately 3 traffic light stops if it is exposed to public view, so if you must use one, get the cheapest burner you can find or use your oldest phone..
One can always hope that they get a good Cobra bite when leaning into the car to grab your phone.

This was a good find, very sturdy and well made, much better than the price would indicate. If you have the steel down tubes from the dash to the tunnel it secures very solidly and can display the phone in most any plane or angle. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Default my phone mount

Of course I can't do anything the easy way. I bought a couple of these Phone mounts at the local Hardware store that clipped on a vent for 6 bucks. I removed the Vent clip and replaced it with some parts I modeled and 3D printed.
While I agree a phone is pretty worthless in a running Cobra the mount does keep it from flying around the cockpit and allows me to use the Map.

Thanks to your post now I know there were other clamps available but just not as much fun to figure out.
Adios,
Austin Snake

I used a piece of adhesive velcro on my garage opener, I imagine the same thing would work for a cell phone if you have a carpeted tunnel.

Dave and SNAKE65 - too loud to hear the phone

I use Velcro for GPS on trans tunnel, talking with the motor running is challenging with a passenger so forget the cell...
