1958 AC Ace
Here is a nice left hand drive ACE for sale, the Grandpappy to the Cobra! Price On request, translation, if you need to ask! Even without the Cobra, the Ace would have been a legend to us gearheads. As you all know, General Curtis "Bombs Away" Lemay, opened up some of the SAC bases for SCCA racing, and encouraged his pilots to race. A couple picked the little 2.0 Bristol powered AC Ace, where they won their class in, 1957, 58 and 59! If that wasn't enough, the SCCA bumped them up to D Production for 1960, and the ace won again. Determined to stop the little Ace that could, they bumped it up to C Production in 1961. Going up against Maserati Bird Cage, Mercedes-Benz 300SL and the Porsche Carrera's, the little Ace vanquished them again! I wish I could swing it!
