I'm clueless what size is a shortened expansion tank is, sorry.

This is in the "All cobra talk section" and you don't have anything in your profile or top right listing in what type Cobra you have.

A "shortened expansion tank" is one that the neck has been cut an inch or so, one from a Tbird or Galaxie ect and are to tall and the hood won't close. So no matter what the cobra MFG is they all need to to be cut. I am a big guy "Linebacker Big" so I do not fit in or own a cobra Although I do work on them offten I even did some work on CSX 1007. I am more of a Galaxie 500 XL fan, my profile says I have been a member since 1999 but I have been a member since the very begining and contributed with 1000s of post. Then there was some sort of reset or crash and all my posts were lost as well as many other members. Anywho the reason I posted this in they "All Cobra Talk" section is as it has been mentioned that the site traffic is very slow and every post helps and who knows some member might learn something in the process.

Ahh gotcha.
I was really struggling to figure out what model car you had, and was was going to post pics of 2 qt Canton tank I don't need. The 1st place I alway look is top right of a post, and then the profile. I like to try and "stay in my lane" when offering help.

Thanks but I really want a period correct one. Even the Kirkham ones as much of a work of art that they are. I still want 60s looking one.

Thanks

PS: The car I am working on they engine is all black even they aluminum heads, complete with single grove V belt pulley
Just the pentroof valve covers are chrome. I love it.

I bought a new tank from this company. They'll make it to whatever spec you need.
