Default Cammer

A guy that I had met at a car show a few weeks ago asked me to bring the cobra to a small car event that included some members from the local SAAC group. There were some nice GT350's there, some Cougars and my cobra with the rubber marks still on it from the US Vintage Grad Prix. I had to load the car quickly onto the trailer at the race as it started to rain on the last day.

We are standing around talking when this purple 34 Ford coupe pulls up and it sounded like there was something mean under the hood. He pops the hood and there is a cammer in it!

(Damn autocorrect!)

That’s interesting I have never slept in the engine compartment of a 34.

Yes, you had an enclosed trailer, but some of us had to drive our Cobra home 125 miles with our top safely stored in the boot! Of course, that was by choice. 8 years and the top still has never been up.....enough speed and the rain goes right over the windscreen and beyond. Did you know red lights suck?

Well, from my experience that isn't the first time that you have driven in a pouring rain, and will probably not be the last! Get that foot healed up so that you can get a drive or two in before the snow flies.

When I had my SPF cars I spent a lot of time in the rain. Not so bad as long as you read the gauges correctly. That big one, kinda in the center of the dash, is really a rain gauge, once it gets to 100% most of the water goes over the top. Still, it helps to have drain holes in the floor. And yup stop lights suck.
