Insurance coverage for one of these cars is not all inclusive, nor will one persons company cover someone else. A lot will have to do with your driving experience, your age, your ticket/accident history, marriage status, whether you rent or own your own domicile, and roughly 30-40 other factors an insurance company underwriter will be looking for. It will not matter what other high performance cars you may have owned in the past, as a Cobra, real or replica, is like nothing else you have ever driven.
With that said, your best bet will be to speak with your current insurance company, and see if they are willing to underwrite a policy for a specialty vehicle such as a cobra replica. Again, depending on your track record with them, they may, or may not do so.
Finally, welcome to the madness.
