Default V8 Aceca

Here is a pretty nice V8 powered Aceca. Don't know about the low hanging exhaust? Not sure how much, would have to reimport it. Cheers Dennis

Lovely car - beautifully executed - my only criticism is the 5000 RPM tacho red-lined at 4500.
Thanks for posting.

Very sweet car, most likely a nicer ride than a stock version as even the Bristol motor was weak even though it sounds like a rocket ship.

Very cool....

If ever there was an argument for side pipes, this is it. What's the ground clearance under that exhaust system - 2 1/2"? Maybe 3? There's lots to love here but I just can't get past the look of a collapsed exhaust system dragging on the road.

It still blows my mind to see the amount of people who have no clue what a Boss 302 is.

That is not a Boss 302.

I was fortunate enough to drive a V-8 Aceca years ago, it was "Cobraized " back in the late 60's, 289 with Paxton supercharger!! It has belonged to Patrick Hart (Now "Hart Foundation") since then.
@Buzz, this is the exact reason our "Ramco" was installed with side pipes, after the Vette 283, was replaced with the 1970 LT-1 motor, (Heat & Ground clearance)

Thumbs up

That's exactly what I was thinking, Tom! Many folks see side pipes as a styling gimmick, but the origin of the concept is definitely rooted in practicality. Moving the exhaust pipes to the side of the car allowed 427 Cobras to have a much lower center of gravity than the 289 FIA/USRRC cars without sacrificing ground clearance. Beautiful car!

Beautiful. No mention whether the ENV differential has been upgraded to Salisbury.

Indeed, that is no Cleveland engine they have there! They do correctly say it's a Windsor but apparently don't know the difference between the two! Good
spot Brent! I have a 1969 BOSS in my ERA and the look is unique!

I was wondering the same thing! I would ask them about that and the price, but I am afraid of two things, I can't afford it, or worse, I can afford it! Cheers, Dennis

Or worse the importing into USA.
Funny, a friend bought a new GT3-RS and it was held up in port (6 weeks) as there was a part from a place with labor issues. I sent a book to the UK and the thing was held up at ciustoms for a phone number add.
Thinking if this was imported to MX and driven over it may be easier than getting it to an east coast port these days.
For people the border is open, for items watch out.........

It appears that it was sold! I think if you were going to build an Aceca with a SB engine, you would be better off with a Ford 2.6 car, since they had most of the chassis changes, that would go into the Cobra. Cheers, Dennis
