Default Goodyear F1 Tires

Does anyone have any feedback good, bad or indifferent on these tires? I have a BDR coming next week and trying to decide which tire to have mounted on the 17" knock offs....

Thanks,

Mark

I've been using them for two years. I believe they are the best street tire you can get. They were the highest rated tire in their class by Tire Rack when I bought them and I'll keep using them until something better shows up. They are not the cheapest tire available, but then nothing on my car was bought because it was the cheapest part available. The way I see it, if you want to maximize the performance of your car, tires can make the difference whether all the performance is utilized or not.

Red face

I have them on my SPF since April 07 and they are great on the front 275/40ZR 17 and the rear are 315/35ZR 17 and with a 514 ci at 626 fwhp they do the job !! Make sure you get the correct back set on they wheels to clear the fender wells and the frame.

Purchased our BDR in Sept. '05, chose the Goodyear F1 over the Nittos because of the compound being a little harder and longer wear life. 4400 miles later, I know we made the correct choose. Still like new tread wise and handle and ride great for street tires. Also understand that they are easier to keep in balance. Keep 29lbs. front, 28lbs. rear with the 342 small block.

I had the F1 Supercar tires 275/40 ZR17 front and 315/45 ZR17 rear. They hooked up well, but I recently switch to the Michelin Pilots and went up to the 335's in the rear. They hook up alot better. That little bit of extra tread with over 550 RWHP made a big difference.

You can't go wrong putting the F1's on your BDR, I'm running 28 psi in the front and 30 psi in the rear.

I run Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 on my 2003 Cobra. They are 295/35/17 rear and 265/35/17 fronts. I love these tires. My car makes 450 rwhp and they hook (and look) great.

They are very good tires. The F1 Supercar runflats (with a different tread design) are the only tire available on C6s and Z06s.

I had the F1 GS D3s on my Vette. They were awesome. What I liked the most was that they were very predictable when they broke loose vs. the stock F1 runflats, additionally they were much quieter than the stock F1s.
