BDR687 is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well guys I am officially Cobraless no more! After stepping on my wiener more times than I can count in pursuit of this car it's finally here. The trunk lid pic shows a couple of chips in the paint which were put there when the Cobra above mine shed a bracket in transport. This being a holiday weekend I don't expect to hear anything from BDR until Monday, so............
But she sure is puuurrrrtttyyyyy!
Steve

What engine/trans setup are you going with? Congrats on the new ride. Also if you don't mind me asking, which dealer did you use?

It looks really strange without a shifter, actually quite neat.

Nice interior. The red seats really "POP" with the black background. Have a great time with it.

FABULOUS!! Now I know my #688 can't be far behind. I hope my car didn't damage your car. Great looking colors. Frank Dodd emailed me that mine should clear customs on the 10th, the drivetrain will take two days to install and they need a week to "sort it out" on the road. But with all the rain we've had, they've fallen behind in being able to road test cars. I think I'll drive down there and haunt them as soon as the roller shows up. YIPPEEE

I like the color combo you went with. You will really enjoy the car, I had the front of mine repainted after 4000 miles. even with the cheesy 3M film I had so many rock chips just past the protection. The trunk will be an easy fix. with a black car you might want to look into getting a Paint Protection, like film or armorcoat spray on! well worth it!! 2500 miles on mine and no chips.

The engine will be a 428PI block w/ Edlebrock heads, the trans is a TKO600RR. I went through Jay @ Vintage Motorsports and he's been very patient.

Thanks Jim; the weird thing about them is that the light makes a huge difference in how they look. In bright light or a flash they look bright red but in lower light they look almost maroon. Kind of neat really.

The car that spit the bracket onto mine is silver with black stripes and red pin stripes. It's a striking combo. But it is already on it's way to Conn.

Dang, it is almost your car's twin. I went with dual roll bars and a red interior though. Then there's that whole steering wheel on the wrong side thing! What's even more weird is that I'm a big bald guy with a goatee as well!
Thanks guys, Steve

Steering wheel on the wrong side...
You are right about the steering wheel on the wrong side.........I have no idea why you Yanks keep insisting on doing that.....
Now do u think Tony and the guys could be convinced to build me an Up-armored one for use here in Kandahar afghanistan?? i dont care which the steering is on as it doesnt seem to make a difference here......just drive on whichever side of the road is comfortable for you

Well after we kicked the riff raff out of the country 211 years ago we had to do something different.

You keep that chrome dome down man. Looks like it's starting to "warm up" over there again. I retired back in 99 otherwise I might be there with you and I've got to say I'm glad I'm not.

What size tires are you running on the back and front , they look like 265 on front and 335 on the rear.
If they are not 335 on the rear does anyone know if BDRs can accept 335 on the rear and what is the widest tire you can put on the front
Also your color cobimnation looks great
