As long as it’s not an EV I’m all for it.

They never said anything about EV so the concern should be out of scope.

Am I the only one who finds technical specs that make all the cars look alike boring? I realize it holds costs down and makes for closer racing, but I like to see designers come up with different ways to win.

I 100% agree, Tommy! Same goes for NASCAR and other racing series. Dominant beasts like the awesome Porsche 917 and the Chrysler Hemis had other manufacturers throwing tantrums and crying foul so sanctioning bodies watered down the innovation in order to "level the playing field" so the losers could keep up. Gone are the days of identifiable marques and real competition based on creativity, innovation and engineering.

NASCAR has become more like IROC. Exact same cars with different grill and headlight stickers, or so it seems.
