Exhaust hangers
What have folks wound up using for the exhaust hangers on the AC?
I have the "flat bars" that were provided in the kit. Looks like they should work fine....just curious as to any issues/changes that I should be aware of. How did you all attached to bars (or whatever you used) to both the pipes and the body?
Id like to send the exhaust out to get plated and then put it on when I get the body.

I went down to an auto parts store and bought some mouting rubbers like what you see on the newer style trucks and cars. Then went by an exhaust place and bought some mouting rods with the swedged end that pushes into the holes on the rubber. The parts house also had some brackets that bolted up under the car for the other side of the rubbers...worked out pretty good.
I found that if i put them at an angle when I mounted them they didnt want to sag too much or move around...but they did have enough movement that i felt comfy they woud ever break a mount.

I welded onto the side pipes....much cleaner look in my opinoin. The clamps just have a way or breaking up the smoothness of the lines. Those weld on pieces they have are nice. Make sure you get some opposing frame brackets to mount to.

Ridged mounting your pipes may cause cracking and possible failure to the insides making them rattle. This is what I did for one of my customers.
