Fan-cee cars@ fountain hills 2/15
Just saw a newspaper article about an "exotic" car show at the fountain, in Fountain Hills, this Saturday, 10am-3pm. Supposed to be some Ferraris, Lambos, GT40s, and a Veyron was mentioned. (gotta be the same Veyron that kissed the wall at Firebird. Can't be two of them here, can there?)
I'll be cruising out there with the Cobra, just to rouse the rabble.
See some of you there?

BobB, I'm not interested in trying to enter the show, even though it says its open to Corvettes. (don't know how on earth they would be included in an "exotic car" show. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a Corvette or a Mustang) I'm just going to go be a spectator and drool over the big-buck rides, and maybe upset some of the hoi-paloi with the noise and dust I'll make.

Sounds kinda cool, I might head up there with my camera.
I've found that if I make a wide, short print of the interior of a Lambo I can wrap it around my head, then sit down on a chair and look toward the sun -- it's almost like being in the real thing (the cool factor isn't quite there though).

"Karl, I found out why you want to visit Fountain Hills: UFO believers gather in Fountain Hills at international UFO Conf - FOX 10 News | myfoxphoenix.com
Maybe visit some relatives?"
I have no doubt that "we are not alone"....just haven't run across any of them yet...well, maybe Jeff C.

Hey Karl, I saw your Cobra parked at Fountain Hills today (looked better than that R8 parked next door), but didn't see you on the grounds.
Anyway, photos and video from the event here (no iPad version up yet, gimmee a day):
FountainHillsCarShow
Only saw one Cobra - a Backdraft - in the show. Perfect weather and nothing but money out there on the grass. Sweet.

Thanks Sandy, That Audi was pretty sweet and I saw another at the show. Shoulda counted the Ferraris. Must have been no less than 50 of them at the show, as well as several parked on various streets. Several Lambos and pickle forks, lotsa Porches, 'Vettes, Ford GTs, Jags, one lowly Veyron, on and on. The monetary valuse represented was enormous! Hooked up with Eric Wood (It Bites), who made the treck from Queen Creek, and Ron was there displaying his beautiful Backdraft. Certainly was Chamber of Commerce weather. My sweetie and I took the scenic route there, up Bush Hwy and of course got stuck behind boats and a bunch of 3wheeled geezer motorcycles which held speed down to maybe 40. Finally got to blow out the carbon on a long straight stretch where I topped out third gear and some of forth before reining the horses in. Her-Sweetness was not amused. Big fun day, all around.
