Default Sunday Breakfast 02/07

The weather forecast is just too nice to pass up taking a ride. I'm going up da hill this Sunday morning. Thinking I'll have breakfast at the Payson Airport, but if its not terribly cold, go on up to Strawberry, to stretch the ride. I'll be on the on-ramp from Bush Hwy, to the Beeline @ 9AM. I plan on getting home before 1pm so I'll have plenty of time for the commercials, and, oh yes, THE GAME. If anyone wants to come along, Great, if not, I'll still have a good time.

Karlos, Rather than heading to the minus degree country, would you consider maybe heading to the "not quite so cold country"? How about breakfast at Maria's in Winkleman? I know you like the Chili Verde down there and you don't need ear muffs, a muffler and heavy coat?

Sure,
I won't complain about your wanting to be in charge, to change the plans to suit your ideas, to disregard someone else's suggestion, or your wanting to rule Russia. No, wait, that was some other vertically challenged guy. Leon? Nappy? Nappy Leon?

You know, SOME people were sort of out that direction last Sunday. You didn't think that you were going to get off not showing last week, without catching at least a little sheet?

Got another idea? I'm not over joyed with Maria's, either the food or the service.

Hey, I know about Cobras and ice... Hit black ice up in Prescott about 14 years ago.

Todd, you snooze you lose.

So it looks as though Dan is going to Winkleman alone?

I am very happy Karl doesn't have me in his sites Dan. I will be putting new front suspension parts on car this weekend Karl. I would brave the run. We have a heater! Gary

Well, it doesn't matter.as.long.as.we.remember the first.club by law. "If you show up, fine. If you don't show up, fine. We're.going anyway". As for the SHEET.. no way. Even when I do show up i get it from Karlos.. that's why we are such good friends.. He throws it and I throw it back.. it's just that I can duck under it and he's so tall, he's an easy target..

You guys sound like a scene from the monkey enclosure at the zoo!

Snoozing - losing...if I don't snooze after working all night, I will definitely lose when I fall asleep at the wheel!!!!

Karl, I'll meet you and anyone else going on the drive at the on-ramp from the Bush Hwy, to the Beeline @ 9AM. Super Bowl starts at 4:30 so we should be back in plenty of time.

Danr, don't be such a sisssssssy! Bundle up! At least Scotty, Keith, and I are going up the hill. With such a late start, I'm hoping the ice will be melted off. If not: EXCITEMENT!

9 o'clock lift off, Beeline and daBush Hwy.

Thanks for the help last evening with the hood. I'll see you Keith and Scotty this AM. Looks like a great day for the BKFS run. I have about 17 miles on the new engine so when Scotty takes off for his normal "rabbit run" l'll stay at about 70mph or 2,200 RPM to let the new motor break in more. I guess I could coast down the steep hills if I feel "a need for speed".
Sorry the rest of our clan is sleepy. My wife wants to make a short cruise to the Olive Mill this afternoon after we get back. Need some flavored olive oil for the pantry. 8:30 on the street in front of my development Karl? See you Scotty and Keith on the meet-up point.

Wonder what time Dan is leaving for Winkleman?

Winkleman is nice. Not warm but not cold either. Chili Verde is a bit.picante, but we are tough. Just not when it comes to KOLD. Hope y'all have a safe drive.

Beautiful day, beautiful scenery but only 4 hardy souls to brave the weather LOL. Really, it was a very nice day for the drive up and back with a little snow up on the peaks of the mountains and the rim.

Truly a beauteous day. A bit nipply on the way up but no ice and bunches of sunshine. Poor Keith had to wear a long sleeved shirt over his tee but he managed. Thought the airport restaurant must be giving away food since they were so busy but the 20 minute wait was worth it. Everyone peeled a layer or two for the trip home. Later, Mike and our wives took another nice drive out to the Olive Mill to feed the girls and I bought 4 pounds of green coffee beans for my roaster. 200 mile day for me. Probably more during today's 82° temp.
