Annual WEEK AFTER New Years Run
As much as I hate to wus out, in deference to our ELDERLY members, tomorrow's run is postponed until SUNDAY 01/08/17.
Weather Permitting
Leave the usual Chevron Station at Idaho Rd and the 60 at 9:30am (Ralphie)
Drive East on 60 to Superior, head South on 177 to Winkleman
Drive West on 77 to Oracle Junction
Have lunch at Lupe's Mexican Restaurant (They will open at 11am)
Drive North on 79, through Florence to the 60
West on the 60 back to God's Country, and whatever.
Round trip, Idaho Rd. to Idaho Rd. 185 miles
I've called Lupe's Resturant to let them know
See you next Saturday, at the Chandler Harley Davidson Show and then again next Sunday, 1/08 for a nice nippy spin.

How come we're not going today...?????
The forecast for next week is beautiful- nothing nippy about it. T-shirt weather.

Robert, the weather people are 50% wrong for next day's forecast, what makes you think they can actually predict what will happen a week from now?
I only watch the weather girl, not the map she is pointing to! Don't tell my wife!

Now I do not feel so bad about not going today. White crap needed to be removed from the driveway.

Youse folks that stayed home, missed a real nice run today. We had 10 Cobras, a Daytona Coupe, a full race AUDI SUV, a beautiful Dodge Challenger. And...if that's not enough, five of six of the Tucson Gang met up with us at LUPE's just south of Oracle Jct. I had called the restaurant, before leaving the Chevron at Idaho and the 60, to let them know we'd be there with 20 hungry people and they were all set up for us, with even extra help, when we got there. A few of the PHX crew had directional issues so they took the turnoff to Florence, instead of going past it 500' to the restaurant. They wound up eating in Florence and missed out the nice people and good food at Lupe's. Thanks to everyone that came out for our slightly delayed New Years Day Run. Hope you all enjoyed the drive as much as I did.
Maybe I'll have to draw maps with directions.....

It was a great run Karl. One we need to keep on hand next time we start out dodging ice cubes in the morning.

Pics of the half the Phoenix crew, and the Tuscon crew.
These were unfortunately taken after the other half of the Phoenix crew decided they wanted to keep driving, more than they wanted to stop for lunch...
Tunrned out to be a great day - chilly in the morning, but the afternoon was Arizona-January-Perfect.
