Time to race your cobra..put up or shut up
I am calling all you cobra's out for a fun day at track. I have about 13 of my other autocross friends going...Demming N.M. We are going SAT. the 14th, meeting at 4am at the triple T truck stop on i10 exit 265 Tucson. Pay 50.00 at track for all day Saturday and we are camping out there, cooking and drinking. Auto crossing Sunday (half day) and heading back. We all pretty much trailer our cars there. If you are thinking of going, have helmet, tires, seat belts. Make sure car doesn't leak fluids, has a good front end, etc...

Hope you are not sleeping in a tent. Might be a bit nipply.
Have a good time and keep the dirty side down.

Yeah thanks but no. Don't have a trailer, motorhome etc. OTOH I'm gonna go right now and drive my Cobra to the bank and grocery store.

Man, $50 is a SMOKIN deal...
But alas- not compatible with my schedule next week, and not enough time (or cash) to get a set of track friendly tires ordered up and mounted.. My checkbook is still bleeding out from Christmas, haha

alidog,
I get the same excuses when I bring up $30 all night 1/8 mile drag racing a Qualcomm stadium in San Diego.
Even when there is racing twice a month,
There's a lot of garage queen, car meet, and car show Cobras here.
Not many racers.

If you built your cobra to race go for it. No need to denigrate those of us who enjoy cruising the high ways and by ways.

That's a bold statement considering that you have no idea who you are even talking to or about.
I don't have a motor home, truck or trailer to haul my cobra in, and even if I did, I don't plan to put this car on a track. But it sure is not a garage queen.
I do appreciate the info on the event, and it sounds like fun.

Then why have a 427, larger brakes, and or whatever performance parts if you don't plan to race.
Thin skinned.

Hey, Rich, it's because some of us have the Competition versions and others have the Street versions!
