Default ROMEO Tucson Trip

As some of you know, besides the AZCOBRAS and Wild West Mustangs, I belong to a group of OLD RETIRED GUYS who have nothing else to do but eat, drink coffee and reminisce. We call ourselves ROMEO which is an acronym for Retired Old Men Eating Out.
Well, we just took a 2 car (large SUVs) trip with 8 of us to Tucson and spent 2 days touring the Pima Air Museum, Titan Missle Silo, Davis-Monthan Boneyard and we got a personal tour of an A-10 Warthog by our own Greg Allan. You may remember him from our picnic with the loud green FFR with a 600hp 427 windsor motor. https://520speedworks.com/ He spent so much time with us out on the flightline, let us climb up to the cockpit (oops, sorry, flight deck,) and explained a lot with examples. D-M has 88 of these. Greg is a Tech Seargent E8 and has been doing this a long time. Quite a good representative of our active USAF. Here are some photos of Greg, his A-10 and one of the Boneyard. You've all been to the Museum & the missle silo.

2600 acres with 4000 planes.

Yeah, they’re neat places to see! Those mothballed B-52’s were flying in to DM when I was a student at the U of A during the first Gulf War. One about every 15 minutes flying right over the the school! Shook the very ground!
