Just knowin', I'll be there. Wouldn't it be sooooper on IMAX!
I'll try to not be too picky about wheel sizes and other fine details. I'm just going to enjoy the movie.

I've already asked the local theater to run it.
Having said that, I think the Cobra Daytona Coupe story is much better. Would like to see it done.

Funny, from all of the accounts I've read, Shelby and Iacocca met in the Ford factory in Detroit when Shelby came asking for motors for his project.. (Cobra). It ended with Iacocca sending him out with instructions to his seconds to "please give him some motors before he bites somebody".

'I was born ready, now hit it!'
- fantastic trailer, hope the film lives up to it.
Bale's accent is a distinctly peculiar brand of English, but its been a long time since Rush.
I hope the Lola works in Slough isn't air-brushed out.

That's the first thing I thought while watching the trailer. I hope they don't take too many liberties with the history of the story. I'm going to do my best to not pay attention to wheel sizes and side vents. It was hard to watch "war" movies after being an infantry Marine because everyone always seemed to get so many things wrong . . . but I got used to it. Now it'll just be that with cars. As long as they pay worthy tribute to two of my heros, Ken and Carroll, I'll be happy. It'll be hard to turn a blind eye to the inaccuracies . . . but I'll be there opening weekend with a smile on my face.

Loved the scene where Henry Ford 2nd was a bit startled by the 40's power. He was, after all, just used to the normal Ford's sluggish power in their street cars.

Well....
I watched the trailer and it looks like a lot of fun, perhaps not very accurate but a good old Hollywood version of some historical event.
I read the book from a few years back that I was told the movie was going to be based on and it's a good read, I do recommend it. I felt it might have been a bit biased but it's still very good. Names, dates, places the author had some really good access to original source material and people for sure.
Apparently the makers of this movie have erased any connections to Mr. Blaine's book so I am sure they will be playing fast and loose with the facts too.
I will go and see it, perhaps more than twice as I am sure the racing scenes will be more than incredible given modern film techniques. So count me a looking forward to it just for the spectacle of it all.
