Default Csx3047

I was at a small car show last night at Bob's Big Boy in Burbank Ca.
This was there, he drove it 15 miles to get there.
Pretty neat to see this thing.

The owner’s name is Anthony Boosalis and he is a well known Cobra aficionado. He also owns an original red comp car. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting him and seeing both cars up close. A very personable guy.

The 427 version of Lynn Park's 289 named "Dirtbag". Very neat original 427! A rare treat to see this one.

Hey Dan. Hope all is well with you. Was at Hillbank yesterday with Juan and Bruce drooling on the GT40s.

Lynn Park's "Dirt Bag" and CSX3047 are completely different, Lynn's Cobra is a completely original "Survivor" including the paint where as CSX3047 is a Cobra that had been repainted during its life and then had the paint Joddi chipped off to reveal the original color.

My point is that they are both unrestored cars, not repainted or made to look like new, nothing more.

I agree. 3047 seems to me to be a completely honest, unrestored, 427. The gold is its original paint, and the blue is part of its story.

Cheers,
Glen

Lynn’s car “Durtbag” never been apart.
3047 is awesome, no joke but it’s been apart.
Just not original wheels or motor plus the obvious carpets gone etc.
Not rebodied, used old parts when put back together. It’s great
Just restored in a different way

Now that 3021 is restored completely this is most likely the most original SC for sure. There is one of similar originality. Few have seen ......
I agree with Anthony, just disagree its on the level of Dirbag
Still way above awesome!

Default Most original

Jeff, 3021 may be the most original restored SC, but 3047 is one of, if not the least molested one. The thing about 3021 is it has been redone by multiple shops over the years, so there was a lot of research involved in identifying and sourcing all the correct original parts to put back on it... 3047 was one car that was used as a reference! While some areas on 3047 like brakes, wheels and engine were apart or changed over the years, while I've never inspected it in person the majority of the car is believed to be about as untouched as you can find for an SC.

Default Other SC's

3049 is an interesting car, but what's the story with the low riser engine top end?

Mike

Not arguing that point.
This thread compared it to Dirtbag, that is no argument.
There is one SC that may be equivalent to 47, but I said 47 is very original.
It’s just been apart is all, then put back together.

Here it is in 1974

Correction, while 3021 may be up there, 3042 may be the most original restored SC.

Just trying to contribute with my perspective Jeff. You've seen first hand more SC's than me, so don't shy away from justification of your position
