Default Barrett-Jackson 2021

Went early at opening, 8am. Parked at door with Sandy’s disabled tag. Place was empty except cars and employees. Face mask Nazis were everywhere. Got free T-Shirt from Ford and Dodge and walked around entire inventory within 2 hours and about 4 miles. Guessing only about 700 cars instead of last year’s 1300. Cars parked about 10 feet apart, like every other space in a parking lot.
Not nearly as many vendors inside or out except food, drink, and B-J clothes everywhere.
Not up to “EVENT” status this year.

Had same experience on Monday. Did a walk through and disappointed with the lack of the usual vendors.

This event would typically have been their Florida event...

Only open to bidders and guests, right? No "general admission". At least that's what is on the books I've gotten. So the people that go to "see the car show", aren't there... (Maybe they are allowing spectators with the Covid rules changing, and Arizona being more relaxed that most, but it was restricted last I saw.)

I also think the days of BJ having 3 auctions in other locales is over. They've seen what they get by pulling everything back to the horse arena, and considering the cost savings of the expensive "off site" facilities, it's probably cheaper and more profitable to just keep everything in Scottsdale.
