Default Ouch!!!

My sweetness and I just got back from a road trip. We went to Asheville NC to tour the Biltmore. I wanted to see if it was actually as magnificent as I remembered as a teenager, 60 years ago and Lynne had never seen it.
IT WAS!
We've been able to travel a goodly bit over the years and have toured many castles, manor homes, and mansions in Europe and other than Versailles, none were any more spectacular than the Biltmore. Well worth the drive and the almost $100@ entry.
We then drove to Jacksonville FL for our youngest granddaughter's HS graduation. Stayed several days and then drove home. Now the BAD part:

4600.6 Total miles.
211.8 total gallons
$863.20 total gas purchases
$4.08 average price per gallon
21.7 MPG
Lowest price $3.699 in Norman OK
Highest price $4.899 Mesa AZ COSTCO!
So good to get back to getting reamed, steamed and drycleaned*in AZ!

Karl,

You're understating your mileage performance. It is actually 21.72 mpg.

Kidding aside, that is impressive. What is the engine?

With pocket's as deep as yours, Karlos. I assume you're telling us Pee-on's what we have to look forward to . I fueled up the Sliver car, with 92-clear yesterday $6.19 in Sequim Wa. Thank goodness, it's not my DD. A gentlemen asked what gas mileages I was getting on my car, he guessed 6mpg, I told him, it's SPM (Smiles Per Mile), mpg is of no concern.

Now it makes more sense. I thought you had some impressive tuning skills (which you may well have) that the rest of us did not know of, to get that kind of trip mileage out of a Cobra engine

Welcome back Karl. Sounds like a great trip. Since you mentioned fuel price. Bought 100 octane Sunoco Race gas yesterday for $9.95 a gallon at the pump for my NX wet system.
