Default Another Cobra on the road - Qld

I thought the ability to pinch Dad's Cobra anytime would stop me from wanting/needing my own, but I bit the bullet and bought one. It's an early Arntz, factory built with a SBC. I'm currently weighing up engine options, but for now I'm just rapt that I finally have a Cobra again.

Wise words! A bunch of guys at the Cobra breakfast were trying to talk me into fitting the blown big block (it would bolt straight in!), but I will resist the urge for now...
It arrived in the country a week ago, so yep it's in the garage.

Nice Craig! What about some more pictures?
There must be some stories to tell about importing it? And what rego do you have on it, being a LHD?
Congratulations!
Cheers,
Glen

Thanks guys. Three Cobras cruising down to the coast with Dad in his Arntz and a mate in his RMC was fantastic!

Because it's 30+ years old, in Queensland you can either have full rego or club/historic rego and leave it LHD. There are a few threads about importing cars into Australia, but it's basically a matter of getting every bit of paperwork you could possibly imagine (including evidence of first registration pre-1982 for LHD, and a million other supporting documents), then pay the full purchase price and only then can you apply to import the car. If it's knocked back at that point, you're stuck owning a car that can't leave the States!

It's not a process to go through if you don't like a challenge...!

Nice work Craig, shame I missed seeing it on Sunday. Great to see another Lefty in the club.
