Default OldTimers

Last weekend whilst still in Holland, The friend who we stayed with took us for a morning coffee on Sunday, whilst sitting out side, I was blow away by the cars going past, Judy thought that it was probably due to the weather being so nice and winter around the corner, but the longer the morning went on, the more she thought something else was happening.
She overheard a waitress mention There was an "Old Timers" happening in next village.
An "old Timers" in Holland is what they call an old car show.
So we went over for a look, it was abreast day.
Following pics are in no order and only taken with iPhone, better pics on camera when I get home.

Great pics Boxxy, but checked every photo carefully and found no tits at all. Very disappointing.

For Andrew.

Our host in Holland

The bed cost us 10 violet crumbles, 10 cherry ropes and 5 Tim tams, she misses them since leaving Australia.

Now, back to cars.
This is the first rental car we had,

Little Peugot 308, diesel, underpowered but great on fuel.

Second car is this Astra.

Petrol, underpowered, heavy on fuel, ****box.

This is our Chichester accomodation, one on far right end with black roof, 4 split level floors, and fully fitted out.

View from verandah.

Although hard to see, that is Portsmouth on otherwise of harbor.

Bikes in Holland, I did not know hee where so many bikes in the world, farkin bikes everywhere.

this is a small parking area, there was a 4 level carpal that Holds 4000bikes.

And when your too old to pedal a bike, you can have one of these cars.

A kit car I spotted in Amsterdam.

Nice Bently

Spotted this near Trafalgar square.

The following 2 are in front of EMI records, which is about 100 meters up the road from our London accomodation.

Nice mix of old cars, I'm lovin' the split window VW.

Wouldn't you rather be back at work Dave instead of wasting your days touring and sight seeing?

Thanks for sharing the pics.

Old VW can mix it the best of them.

Split looks fantastic.

Great photos Dave. We spent 6 weeks in central and eastern Europe recently and I was also blown away by the quality and quantity of classic cars. In Amsterdam there is a multi-level park that holds 10,000 bikes. Incredible. I worked in Norway for over 10 years and when ever I could visited the meet of American 'muscle' cars at Halden. It was always stunning.

Long way from the desert country ...

I agree with split window..once you've owned a VW you seem to have em in your blood. I like the green skirt and it's shape too !
