Default Nurburgring In car footage

I have finally downloaded one of my laps at the Nurburgring this year.
It is the last of my 10 laps in a Renault Megane R26.R
Pretty good lap, not much traffic, only a couple of yellow flag areas. It might look a little 'funny' because I got Youtube to fix the wobbles as the camera was mounted on my helmet.
For the record the lap was 9 minutes and 9 seconds.... Timing starts when you go under the first (BILSTEIN) overpass just after the start and finishes at the AUDI overpass just at the start of the last strait....

How GOOD is that ??!!

Well done Ash....
Another one off the Bucket List.

Had my face right up close to my BIG screen computer....to get the effect....and we both made the same sound at the same time..
You let out a bit of a cheer when you got past some slow cars at the 8min 30sec mark,
and then at about 8min 42 secs, you went into a long corner at not quite the right line/speed...and I went "Wooh"...and so did you.

I had the speakers up, and I wasn't expecting it.

So funny.

Cheers,
Warren.

It really is a special place. I did a couple of laps back in '06 in a Nissan X-Trail, not exactly sporty, but it wasn't so much about what I was in but where I was!

Nice drive.

But, what the hell? Was that spray-paint graffiti on the track? All over the place! Tell me I'm wrong!

Freeking awesome. Watching laps at this track never gets old and speaking with people who have been there and driven it, is even better.

We did the filming of laps as well however not with a hemet cam, just a hand held. One aspect that the camera dosn't fully capture is the elevation changes, there is so much in variance that the track is like its own microclimate.

A good DVD on the track is the nurburg fascination (sp) which has complete laps from a range of different race cars.

I'll stop now as I could go on for ages about this.

Congrats on the awesome experience.

Thanks Ash
What a ride how good are cup cars and who puts a people mover on the track.

Great drive Ash, i bet you enjoyed that, your footage gives a good feel of the track. A 2010 range rover sport with coyote power on board did it in under 9 mins, not bad for a 2.4 tonne 4x4 block of flats.

Well done. What a great track. I also liked the WRZ Sti vid with Tommi Makinen. Amazing time and fearless driving.
