Forum search etc
Just wondering, why doesn't this forum have folders/categories. Yes I know there is a 'search' function, but if the keyword is incorrect or thread subject slightly wrong what could be related and relevant threads can easily get missed. Plus with 200+ pages of threads, surely this would clean up the place just a little. (Yeah ok it's probably way too much effort to deal with the old existing posts, but can something be done about the new ones?)

It's just like searching on google
Heaps of people have problems finding info
But it all depends on how you write the sentence
Chop and change words around and stuff and your search grows extremely

There is a way to use Google to search the Forum. It does a better job than the normal Search function. I suspect that more forums will soon use Google search.

Thanks Ben,
That should be a sticky on finding threads and topics,
That is quicker and accurate than the clunker search engine on this site.

You can use google as a calculator, currency converter, track packages, weather reports, world time, dictionary, acronyms, filter by file type, etc. There are TONS of shortcuts.

Sure would be nice to get rid of the stupid 60 seconds between search timer. How many times have I wanted to add an additional word to further define a search and sat around for a minute to go by before I'm able to post a new search.... not fun.

Hackers write software robots (or "bots") designed to bring down forums such as this by overloading the server with lots of search requests (hundreds per second). Hence the 60 second lockout.

Google search tends to be much more useful if you know exactly what you're looking for, so you can add numerous keywords etc, not so great for more general/broad inquiries.
