Bathurst 12 hour Daytona
Sadly, the 12 hour wasn't shown free to air this year but it was available on the net livestream.
Was a pretty interesting day. Love the little lotus's...and the rain at the end made it interesting.
Sadly the Daytona with the Wild Wings hit the wall going over the mountain well into the event.
See some info on that car here. :: The Daytona Sports Cars Pty. Ltd. ::
The biggest eye opener was John Bowe taking umbridge over the slower SEAT driver who punted his Ferrari into the wall. (He said.) He really took it to the Spanish in his post accident interview.
Post race investigations suggest he'd already passed the SEAT and he pulled back onto the racing line too quickly and hit the front of the SEAT which took him out. Not sure that's the fault of the Spanish.
Great race....lets hope free to air next year.

Hi Matt
How good was the last 3 hrs with the rain splitters falling off, black flags and the worst sounding v8 engines ever in the Merc's.

bathurst
Yeah LJ, it was pretty good hey!
Matt Kingsley drove really well in the VIP car... He's a good bloke.
Lots of cars didn't finish as you'd expect but it was great watch for the whole 12 hours.....
Funny thing happened to me on the Saturday..... I had to go to a pre-birth baby seminar thingy at the hospital where you get to see lots of things "blokes just shouldn't see" and I took my ipad so as I could sit in the corner and tune out.. I mean in...
Anyway as it turned out Michael Patrizi (now Ex V8 driver) was there as well with his Missus Janine. I'd met him at the Gold Coast Indy last year so it turned out to be an excellent day talking $hit, I mean shop...well actually no I mean $hit..so it was a real laugh.
Turned out to be a far better day than I'd expected.

Oh yeah.... and the Merc's just sound woeful... Which is surprising as a client of mine has one and it doesn't sound anything like the race cars.

Just returned
I just got back,
The Merc's sound a bit better in real life.
Had a good chat to Luffy and Craig over a red on Friday night,
its a great event for access ( and no bogans ).
There is a 3 hour highlights package on SBS next Sunday.
