Very much like a kit car, very much like a cobra aswell, light as possible and no driver aids or luxuries what so ever, not even a door handle, just a strap.. when you look at the welds on a ferrari chassis, you wonder how they ever stay together!

Not that there's anything wrong with that

I just had a look at the selling prices in the UK and saw one car with only 700 miles and one with less than 300 miles! I know why collectors do it, but what a shame to have a brand new supercar in the garage and never drive it...

Seeing a genuine F40 racing along the gravel topped country road and through the hay bales at the Leyburn sprints up here a few years ago was pretty wild!

I'm sorry but F40's look like s##t.
Sure they go great, but honestly did anyone have even a remote crack at making them look cool?

It's not cool looking and was never meant to be, but it along with the McLaren will go down in history as two of the most pure driving cars ever.

My F40 poster had a place on my bedroom wall. Right beside my posters of an XY GTHO and Sam Fox...

Argh Sam Fox. I often see her ex Peter Foster, renowned conman and often lodger at her majesty's pleasure at my local coffee shop and shake my head at how good a con he must be to have married her!!! Hilourious stuff.

She had some of the best assets a growing teenage boy could dream about. I can still picture THEM!!

Spookypt

When last in Dubai I found a full concourse in one of the shopping centers full of Ferrris and all for sale. You often see displays around the airport for Ferraris.

Guess they are looking for the impulse buyer there that has plenty of spare cash or a collector.

I am sure some of the best collections are housed in the suburbs of Dubai -

I am there this coming Monday so will have a good look around. Maybe a cheap Dino of f40 there.

Then on to Paris for the Tour De France for the last days of the tour and cruising France then in a Citroen......not!!!

Hey there is a website that i can not recall...something like deserted cars of...

There were dozens of deserted exotic cars in Dubai!!! When markets crashed and the money ran out for some you can get thrown in jail for owing money(something like that). So the exotics were left parked and owners left the country.

Most of the cars where left by poms when the credit crunch hit dubai, their was an interesting doco on this on SBS, they are just a few of the cars. there are thousands of BMWs and mercs Scattered everywhere, but mainly at the airport, if these people return they will be arrested straight away as most owe well over a million dollars and they virtually ran out of town, most with out even a suitcase, just left the house, car and all there belongings behind.

This could be applied to a number of demographics in the region. Makes every day interesting
