Default Long time Cobra fan, finally an owner

Hi Everyone

Like the title suggests I've been a Cobra Fan for many moons. Ever since I was a kid and I had a toy replica.
Well recently I've graduated to a full scale replica

In any case I was presented with a rare opportunity to buy one from a friend which I couldn't pass up
So I jumped at the opportunity. Sometimes these sort of things happen for a reason (or so I tell myself).
some of you might recognise the car as my friend did a bit of a build thread a while back

Car is a fully registered 2003 DRB with a 302 Windsor stroked to a 347.
She makes some yummy sounds.

She needs work. She needs Paint, interior, suspension and brakes need an upgrade.
My friend did a great job on the engine and handling and she really is a fun little thing

I will have to watch her evolve over the years to come into something I have in my mind
In any case, I hope to draw on your vast experience and how to's.

Below are a few pics of the car
Cheers,
Kris

2 new owners in one night! Congrats and enjoy.
Love that type of rocker cover too.
Good luck with the mods and personal touches.

Congratulations! The car looks nice and in a little while you will have her exactly as you would like her to be. Enjoy the road.

Nice clean looking car, not a critique from a performance point of view the air cleaner looks a bit small for a 347 engine.

Thank you for the warm welcome guys. It's good to be part of a community.
I am completely new to the car replica world, so will need lots of help and advice :-)

Ant: that is the only filter that fits under the hood unfortunately. Anything bigger doesn't fit. I also prefer a very small hood scoop and this is already big for my liking

LJ47: will have to find that thread. Wouldn't mind meeting a few blokes locally. Thanks for the tip

Gav: the paint (well I wouldn't call it paint :-() it's orange peal and done in somebody's garage me thinks, it's chipped and uneven. But on the other hand I can let my kids jump all over it and not get mad :-)

Again thanks for the warm welcome.

Paintwerks: thanks. I haven't found a painter yet. I will give you a call and we can have a chat about it. Thanks for the heads up. Kris
