Cool to hpc or not

im getting the exhaust headers built by a a bloke that just left phat pipe here in Brisbane & building all the exhaust too
my question to all members is to hpc coat the headers now or wait till I have the cobra on the road
is there any benefits to doing it now or later

all help is welcome

I'm not sure about 'headers' but with my extractors I was told by a Sydney coater to use them for a period before coating. The downside was that a cost of $60 was added by hpc to clean them before the coating. In terms of pre-coating requirements I suggest you call hpc and ask. In terms of the build I would first run the car and have them coated later otherwise Murphy's Law will come in to play.

Also, I'm a little bit sorry I had the aluminium finish I think I would have the grey if was to do it again.

Ceramic coating exhaust - yes/no?

I got mine done by the guy at brendale, $380 for four into ones.

Coating is a must, better HP, cooling, longevity anew so on.

Just have them done after you dyno the car, the dyno fades them.

ok I just got the extractor manifold hpc coated inside & out plus the side pipes as well
now as I can only run them live with a cut back welded in the back to run to rear

WHERE DO I GET SIDE PIPE PROTECTOR COVERS SO THE MISSES DOESNT GET BURNT OR OUR 3 YEAR OLD
stainless would be great

Here ya go these guys were pretty cheap I thought and close to us.

I found some others in the states that do fancier stuff but a lot dearer. I have some stainless guys that do lazer cut that could make something fancier if you want but I haven't priced that option yet.
