Uncluttered engine bay
This is my engine bay, pure and simple. I've posted this to show the guys who are presently building their dream, that you don't need heaps of bling to create an impressive engine bay. Since this was taken, the headers have been ceramic coated.

Looks good Baz, nice and clean, almost like a concept factory look.
Don't discount the bling, can be great to distract those that have no idea what they are looking at, and gives us OCD guys something to fuss over.
Nevertheless, very nice, Have you decided on changing your wheels yet?

Hi Leroy,
I've decided to wear out my 17" Sumo's before changing to 15" Avons and a new set of Vintage rims. The car has only done 6,000 in 4 years so it might take a while.

I've received a couple of PM's to provide some pics of my car. For those interested, here's a couple.

Very clean Baz, but where's the engine? I'm not a fan of wrapping the hardware in plastic. The missus doesn't like it either.
Have you thought about colour coding the red areas to match the overall theme of the car?
Here's my half-way-there engine bay. A few wires and hoses to be wrapped and tidied up and the intake snorkel will be painted or polished. P/steer reservoir also to be replaced. You can just see the top of the Lokar dipstick.

Sometimes contrasting colours work best, but must be complimentary. Too much colour coding/matching can look bland.

A good solution to getting rid of the plastic intake 😉

Looks good Baz.
Have you considered hiding some of the wiring?
Cheers,
Ben

Sorry to upset the purists, but at the moment, it's just how I like it. One day, we might see a nice polished Harrop Blower or and eight stack fuel injection system sitting on top of the motor, but travel is my main concern at the present time.

Its a nice set up Baz , and I understand the travel thing.
If you are in Arizona in the future, put this on the list to see as something that is a rare encounter in the world. This is from the cold war era.

Thanks for the heads up Leigh. We will be back over there in October and I will certainly put the Tuscon Silo visit on my list of must dos before our cruise. The main purpose of this trip is a cruise on Caribbean Princess from New York up the New England coast when the foliage is displaying its brilliant Autumn colours. We disembark in Quebec then visit Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and Niagara before flying to Detroit to visit relo's. Will be checking out the car museums there and then a week in Hawaii. Should be a good trip. One more crossed off the bucket list.
