Default Potential new owner

Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum and I've just started to look at cobra's for the first time. I'm looking to buy a second hand one for around the $50k mark. I've noticed a couple for sale for sub $40k on car sales but they have LPG, should I be put off by this? I'm thinking about the future resale value...

Default Welcome Stevo

Stevo,

What's do you live?

The LPG thing was due to the rego issues in the past, they have relaxed them

A bit of late.

The gas cars lose some boot space but get great mileage and the motor

Should be set up for gas. Not a difficult change to petrol it's just money and

Maybe re engineering, but a great way to start the Cobra process with your

Budget.

straight lpg wouldn't turn me off buying a cobra i actually flew down to tassie from sa to look at one but the rest of the car was not up to scratch . if you like the rest of the car why not it's not like you can fit a full size spare in the boot anyway .

cheers dean

Steve you're in QLD??? Which part? Come along to a breaky on the Gold Coast or if you're a Northsider come up to CobracarsnCoffee at Coolum on the 8th of November.

There's always people around who may be interested in selling or talking about whats cars are what.

As overheard..

q. why are divorces so expensive.
a. because they're worth it.

as to the resale on the cheap LPG cobra - as with most things in life (divorces notwithstanding) cheap in = cheap out.

the sale price you get will largely be a reflection of the market price now and the degree to which you're able to add genuine value - this can be hard to do with some older kits.

get along to a few club meetings - there is a steep learning curve and going through it pre-purchase is preferable (and alliterative)

good luck tracking down a car
