Default Halibrand rim options

Folks

One of my planned changes is to buy quality rims to replace the ones that came with my kit.

Have always liked the Vintage Wheels pin drives but not sure these come in off-sets that will fit the G-Force. One of the attractions is the elimination of the wheel nut look though if the rims look good enough I'd be happy to live with that option.

I am curious what other rims are out there with covers over the wheel nuts to replicate that clean look.

And then generally what other good quality rims are available.

Cheers

Steve

Hi Steve,

Check out the AC III rim from ETmags in the states ET Wheels by Team III Wheels. I have ordered 17 x 9.5 rear and 17 x 7 front for my Evans and hopefully they will arrive by the end of feb. Rob at the club has the 15's on his car and Dale has 17's on his. If mine arrive before you make your decision you are more than welcome to come and have a look.

Cheers

Andrew

Steve, Team 111 make a nice wheel. I have a set of them for my cobra. Dragway in QLD/Vic do a Halibrand as a 5 stud with spinner that covers the lug nuts if you like. Quite a few of the guys have posted pics of them on previous topics.
Vintage Wheels USA do a nice wheel as a Halibrand knock on. They can pretty much make to most offsets. Give Bob a call and he can let you know. Their website is pretty good.

The only thing with OS suppliers, like I have recently found, is freight/shipping damage! Im probably the only one in OZ that's had it but all 4 of my brand new wheels for the Daytona were damaged in transit and I had to pay for the repair. Now I'm waiting for Vintage to refund my money. Its turning into quite the wait!!

Vintage has been pretty good with the communication and is having a nice argument with FedEx about it all but Im yet to see any $'s come back . Waiting waiting.... I'll certainly post the outcome, experience and advice on my Daytona topic once its finalised.

Good luck with your search.

Matt
