Default Uncle’s build / stuff thread.

So rather than post stuff in the Cobra Photo of the Day thread I thought I’d start a thread on my car here as a blog of sorts.
I bought the car off another member on here mid this year (2016) after thinking about getting a Cobra for a while. My back ground is the normal thing of building fast cars getting bored, selling then doing it all over again.
The last 8 or 9 years it has been building turbo air cooled Porsches but with the current market seeing the prices climb to stupid levels I just don’t see them as good bang for buck anymore. Maybe once the market swings back to a reasonable amount for a 911/930 I might buy another.

Anyway the car I bought was built by Stu and is a total credit to him. It’s well finished and drives with the ride quality of a new MX5 but without the “Stigma” lol.
Out with the old an in with the new.

The engine is a fresh 340hp 306ci job but lacked the ITB injection it should have. But more of that later

Next was to get out for a longer drive so I packed up a big bag and headed out for a weekend with some mates and 890klms of fun.

I came back put it up on the hoist and gave it a once over and a service.

Ahhh.

So I enjoyed the car for a few months then it was time for ITB’s and some Haltech EFI.

Next I got a flat tonneau cover made up for it. Oh and I bought another one.
