I go every year and will be heading down tomorrow until Sunday. Unfortunately no car this year.

Tips, it gets very hot, so make sure you bring a hat and sunscreen. Also things get a bit loose in the afternoons, so if you come with family best to get there early before the craziness starts.

Cheers,

Ben

I went for the first time last year and it was awesome!
I have never seen so many blowers hanging out of bonnets being driver around in all my life. It's a real eye opener and if I didn't have this trailer to finish before the middle of the month then I would be going again! Every couple of minutes you see something totally amazing it's hard to describe.
Well worth the trip if you like to see custom. Ars and mega horsepower!
Oh and throw in the odd VW or two....

Went to one of the very first around 1988 in my XBGT Coupe in the days when the cruise went along Northbourne avenue and back to the Showgrounds.
Was great until the idiots screwed it up for everyone by throwing things at cars they didn't like, then after was confined to the Showgrounds..

Default Not for the true car fan

Dimis,

I went to the first couple as I lived in Sydney and it was like Bathurst but on

Steroids.

The early days were quite frightening after about 3 pm as the pissed

Wankers (without cars) would through stuff at you if Yiu didn't do a burnout or

They didn't like your car.

It was even more difficult for out crew as we had RX-4 coupes and rotaries

We're certainly not liked. I did hear that Chick Henry did clean it up a bit but

After the rights were sold I think it has gone back wards again. I would go but

Without a car or my partner and with a few blokes like LJ and co as Friends
