Default Harrison 120 Build Underway (again)

After a 3 (coming up 4 year) hiatus on the build i have finally started again!

Have had to remove the body from the chassis as the resin in the fibreglass sections connecting the body to the chassis still hasn't completely gone off after 5 years. Bit of a pain as the body isn't all that easy to remove and i will have to form up new sections to replace but it will make the build easier in the long run.

Will post a photo (once i take it) of the body removed as i presume that there wouldn't be many of us that has seen a Harrison without the body fitted.

One thing that i am interested in doing is removing the commodore pedals that were supplied and fitting Tilton 600 series pedals like the PACE instead.

Has anyone with a Harrison done this? Do they physically fit? Plan to measure up tonight but would be interested in the experiences/ issues that others may have had?

For the PACE boys, are they ADR approved (haven't been able to find any info on whether they are or not) or did you have to get them certified by an engineer as part of the build?

Out of interest does anyone know what the S/N of the last Harrison built by Warwick was. From memory he closed up/ sold approx 6 months after i received mine.

Cheers

Luke

Hey Luke,

the pedal box doesn't have an ADR attached to it, it will just be up to the engineer to make sure that the car brakes sufficiently once the brake bias is set up and then tested.

Cheers

Thanks, appreciate the feedback. Was just concerned as I had seen issues with other manufacturers of pedal arms/ mounting points failing etc (can't find the link at the moment) so just want to make sure that there are now certification issues with the Tilton.

Default pedals

Hi I have replaced the ford pedal box for Willwood pedals on a couple of Cobras . the fire wall is 3mm thick and while you have the body off fit brackets for the upper mount .
For compliance fit float caps which you can wire in for fluid low level . For the brake switch best put one in the brake line .
Hope this helps
Warwick.
