EOI: Selling my un-started Roaring Forties kit
All,
Changing circumstances mean I'm clearing out my shed of a few projects so that I can just do one at a time.
I've got over $70k in parts at current RF prices, as well as a few very expensive extras to throw in with it - like a wavetrac LSD to suit an Audi box, an 016 box, a 5.4 single cam engine to use as a mock up and brand new tyres that match the rims for size but are old so probably not much use except as assembly tyres.
Currently no pictures (it's an unassembled kit - what would you see?) thanks to photo bucket and its recent idiocy. Trying to work out an alternative hosting arrangement.
Open to offers, even if people want to come to Orange to see it or the two clubbies (Lotus 7 / Caterham type cars) that I have for sale. Both also unregistered and prices to suit. One has a bike engine and a VIN and is outrageously fast.
PM me on here if you're interested and I can email photos.
Completely unstarted as builds go, it's basically loosely assembled into a roller, but no holes have been drilled.

Treeve,
would you be interested in breaking up some of the minor (loose) parts - if so a list of what you have for sale may be advantageous, as I am looking for certain bits and pieces at the moment for my next GT40 build.
Cheers

Gday mate,
Not keen on breaking it up as it makes it all harder to sell, unless the main thing gets sold and the price excludes some stuff.
I've got a spare set of body clips and a few other random bits and pieces, but nothing major.
If I do end up with left overs I'll let you know.

No worries Treeve, if you have any bits left over I would be keen to have a look as I am collecting everything I need to finish my build and then will hit it hard once I have it all together to get the car together.
I can say that from experience I looked at selling my first GT40 throughout the six year build period (in various stages) at least twice and I was fortunate enough to be able to weather the storm and end up finishing it - hopefully you can do the same as you will not regret it once it's finished...

Thanks for the kind words Wil.
If I don't get an offer which will cover the 'dream car' purchase which has come up, then I'll go back to thinking about building it.. Definitely decided to move on some of the other projects though, as it's time to decrease the quantity in order to reduce my stress!

Lotus Esprit
In my eyes it's a modern GT40 equivalent without the price tag, but it's also a Lotus, which is a brand very close to my heart.
