Default 351w engine number

Imported 351w crate engine from US, trying to find out where engine number is located (if it has one) for rego purposes. Found casting number which indicates - 1994 bulid, most likely out of F series/Bronco
Any help appreciated

They are supposed to be on the flat machined part of the block behind the head, usually above the starter if I remember correctly. However, if the block has been machined it probably will be missing from that location.
Do a search on google for "351W number locations". Lots of info from different sites and forums...

Being a crate motor it may not have one.
Each state and territory is slightly different here, but as long as you have proof of purchase, getting an engine number issued to you is very simple.

On my 1990 F250 351W the number is on the front face of the block.
Above the water pump, on (Aust) drivers side, below the head.

My 69 Mach 1 has a 351w with the engine number on the R/H side of the water pump just below the head.

i have a 351w crate motor in mine.
i had to get (well CW did) an engine number issued by the Qld cops.
i don't think it was much of a hassle tho.
certainly not for me anyway.
hope this helps.
