Default B&B and Mcgill

Do these guys have quality products? They're only a couple hours from me. It would be very convenient for me.

Two different companies. Don't know about the new owners of B&B. I don't think they have posted or shown anything here. It's worth the drive to check out McGill's. I know he has new molds and has made some improvements on the frame.

A buddy of mine (Mike) has a B&B and bought a hardtop from Barry a couple of years ago. I installed it and did a lot of work on his B&B. I'm impressed with the car. I think you should go and talk to Barry and look around.
The only thing I did not like was the Mustang front control arms are wide and they (the old B&B) corrected it with to much off set in the front rims. But you can buy narrow upper and lower control arms to correct the problem.
Do it up front and the cost would be the same.

Mike's B&B is the best driving / riding Cobra I have ever driven. I have driven about seven different brands. Maybe 16 different Cobras. So I'm not an expert on Cobras.

Go talk with Barry and Karen, they have very good frames and bodies, I bought a B&B off ebay in 2013 and then bought everything from Barry as he was part of B&B originally and then started Mcgill street rods. I bought from Barry because of the outstanding service i got and i assure you that you will get the same! Karen is also great to deal with as she knows alot about these cars and was great to work with!

I know this is a little bit late, but I drove my cobra by the McGill Street Rods shop this past summer, early August actually. He was great to talk to and even had another B&B (I think) in there at the time he was doing some updating on. I've had my B&B for 5 years now and love it, you should make the trip, he has a lot of cool things he is working on!

I have the utmost respect for Barry McGill, he will absolutely bend over backwards to make you happy. He is an excellent fabricator and is presently building High Boys and Cobra's. He builds a nice product and the most important thing is he will do what he says he will do and if he gives you a date your kit will be ready you can take a trailer to his shop on that date without calling first. I would buy from him again!

I bought my B&B Cobra in 1999 and I can tell you I don't have a single spider crack or imperfection in my fiberglas. Barry has helped me on several of my projects and I have nothing but respect for him and his company. I even took him my FFR Coupe to make a few upgrades a few years ago.

My 2002 B&B is a solid car and drives great. I can't compare it to other cobras but I've been through everything under an in and I'm happy with it. It's not a light car at 2650lbs. curb weight, with fluids topped off but that comes with a stoutly build car.

I second what Clois Harlan stated earlier. I investigated many Cobra manufacturers such as Superformance, Backdraft, ERA, Unique, FFR and several others. I then elected to purchase a B & B car in early 2007. The companies I listed all produce great products and I have had the opportunity to drive each one of them prior to making my final decision. I wanted a FE powered car and I elected to go with a B & B due to the sturdy frame and body construction. The car drives great and has absolutely met and exceeded my expectations in every way. There are lots of great companies and cars out there but if you are looking for a solid Cobra product I highly recommend that you contact Barry McGill at McGill Stret Rods.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words! I've been building Cobra's as well as many other replica's for over 20 years now and still enjoy the excitement it brings to customers as they live their dream. I met and built rides for Clois and hundreds of other great guys all the way back to my life in Southern California, and now back in the midwest where I grew up. As a former owner of B & B Manufacturing, and since 2008 on my own as McGill Manufacturing, I continue the tradition of high quality affordably priced kits and turnkeys for those wanting to build and drive their passion.
I welcome anyone to call or email me if they have questions about their B & B car, need parts, or are looking to start a project from scratch.
Thanks again for the great comments and continued support from everyone!

Some interesting packages - particularly for those of us in Canada with no ability to purchase 'kit cars', only 'starter kits' (defined as no brakes, suspension or power train).

Same here. I have a '95 LA Exotics (Barry before B&B). It's bare red gelcoat. No paint. I was told by the forums back then that the gel coat would micro-crack and look like garbage in a couple of years. 19 years later it looks just as it did when I picked it up in LA.

Barry made me a set of primaries and had them ceramic coated, Real nice job. If I have any questions on my build he is always eager to answer them.

There you go BOON, that guy "Barry McGill" is a great builder and an all around good guy that won't dissappoint you. When everything is all said and done you go with your gut feeling and hope for the best. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anything Barry McGill is involved with albiet a Cobra or 34.

Default B&B roadster contact number

Hello,

Does somebody has the contact number of B&B roadster?
The old number is not existing.
Have you the new ones?

Thanks for your reply.

I talked to Barry McGill a couple of months ago about a B&B thing.

His number is 417-472-7848

If ol' Barry wants to market his products, he needs to post here more than just once and then disappear.

Perhaps his reputation and word-of-mouth business already gives him all he wants and/or needs.

Well, I suppose you're right. If he doesn't care then, I suppose, he just doesn't care.

I've always found Barry to be very helpful. I bought a hard top from him a few years ago. Very pleased with the service and phone help.

Maybe he is working and not on the computer all day.

Information on Fiberglass 34 Coupes and Cobras by McGill Manufacturing seems to be correct.
