Tie Rod BDR#231
My BDR#231
Hope someone can shed some light on this.
Found a couple post on Tie Rod's when searching, but wanted to make sure before I pull the trigger.
Here are pictures of my Tie Rod. I need both left and right. Notice the slight bend.
From the search some people are saying 1974-1977 Mazda Rx-3.
However saw a quote from TimeForACobra from LINK Steering Rack outer tie rods

Hope this helps.... Here are some notes I have from the now defunct
Backdraft Boys web site and one thread here. I cannot vouch for the
validity or correctness as these are just notes I have. From what I
understand, you have to determine if your tie rods are straight or have
a bend/cure in them.
Quick Power Steering Rack Options
"We found an application for the straight tie rods, they are for a 1974
Mazda Rx-3,found them at NAPA."
Defunct Backdraft Boys thread 1:
"Curved tie rod ends
Spicer Part Number 4011251"
Defunct Backdraft Boys thread 2:
"I spoke with mike regarding new ends. They were out so I went to Rock
Auto and bought a pair, Mike agreed they were just the same thing as
they have. Problem, after inserting the shaft of the tie rod into the
arm, I can't get enough thread through the arm to safely tighten the
lock nut down. It seem the shaft on the one that came with the car is
longer even though they are both off a 74-76 Mazda with the same bent
configuration. Any Ideas?"

I'll need both Left and Right. Can the same part be used on both left and right?
Found the following:
ACDelco 45A0251, | ACDelco
Rare Parts RP26134, | Rare Parts
Not sure if there is any differences from the two, other then company name.
Anybody know if these would work or have they tried them?
I also saw a post where someone used a Moog Tie Rod but not sure what part number they used. I have pm/email them.
Thank you in advance.

Zeremiah:
How many miles do you have on your BDR? I've got a little over 40K miles and so far my tie rod ends appear to be hanging in there pretty well. On the other hand, I did have to replace both rear wheel bearings at just under 39K miles--they were shot. I've only been to the racetrack once, the rest of the miles are streets/roads/freeways.
Just curious I reckon...

My BDR only has 5,500 on it. I have a feeling the original owner let the car sit more then drive it as the bushings were ripping. Nice to see a BDR with 40k on it and still going strong.

I don't think the cured ones are available any more but I replaced mine (curved ones) with the advance auto ones and they worked perfect , aligned it with lasers and drives great .
