Default Nuts do bounce...

...as they fall off my visor, off my dash, off my arm, and then onto the street.

Hi- Jay/All-

I seem to have these capped nuts all over my visors and one fell off today. Anyone have a suggestion where I can get a replacement, threading?

I have not been to Home Depot yet but suspect I won't find one there.

Thanks 1,000,000!

Acorn nuts; Home Depot should carry them. Size could be 10-24 course thread or 10-32 fine thread.

Ace Hardware has them in stock. I don't remember the size but take one with you and they will match it. Make sure you have the lock washer (Ace has them too) and use Locktite.

Every time I drop a nut, it goes into a time warp and appears on the floor two weeks after I've bought new ones!

Yeah, you beat me to it. I'm not sure if ALL Ace Hardware stores have it but mine has a section of chrome nuts/bolts apart from the standard ones. And they have the odd ball fasteners too.

I think my local Lowe's store has a special section too. If not Lowes, it's The Home Depot.

A good company to deal with; better pricing than Carr or Fastenal:

Get a nice one, maybe stainless, from McMaster, Fastenal, etc. Most of the fasteners at Ace and Lowe's are junk.
